+ What is Asbury Park Santa Run?
The Asbury Park Santa Run is a 5K race where all attendees are given a Santa suit to run in. Picture the streets of Asbury Park filled with running Santas all supporting an amazing local charity.
+ What charity does the race benefit?
The Santa Run benefits local charity, Lunch Break. In addition to donating a portion of the proceeds from the race, we also host a toy drive for local families in need during the holidays. Runners can also raise additional money from their friends and family via our peer-to-peer fundraising platform, CrowdRise. After registration, you will be directed to their site where you can create an account and start spreading the word and making a difference!
+ What is included in my registration?
Every runner gets a full Santa suit, chip timed results, closed course, and access to the after party with drink specials, live music, and more!
+ Will the race be timed?
Yes, the race will be chip timed. The race will have an electronic clock at the finish line to view your time and results will be posted online immediately following the race.
+ Where does the race start and finish?
The race will start and finish at The Stone Pony. After the race join us at the after party with live music from Brian Kirk & the Jirks!
+ Do I have to run?
No! Walkers are welcome too. All we ask is that you remain aware of passing runners to keep the course safe for everyone.
+ Where do I pick up my Santa suit and race bib?
There will be an advanced packet pickup on Friday, December 7th, from 4 PM-7 PM at Roadrunner Sports in Shrewsbury, NJ. You will be able to pick up on race day as well, but it is highly encouraged to come in advance to beat the crowds and make sure your suit fits before race day.
+ Can I have my suit and bib mailed to me?
No. Sorry, we will not be mailing these items.
+ Can someone else pick up for me?
Yes, as long as they have a copy of your ID and confirmation email showing your purchase.
+ Can I start a team with my friends?
Yes, create a team during registration and invite your friends to join. This is also a great way to raise additional money for the charity through CrowdRise. 100% of which will be donated.
+ What if the weather is bad?
The race is rain, snow, or shine. A little snow never stopped Santa!
+ What do I wear?
Bring your running shoes and remember to layer up if it's cold. All runners get a Santa suit to run in including a hat. If you don’t want to wear the suit, show us your best elf, reindeer, or any other holiday character you can think of. Just have fun with it!
+ Is this event stroller friendly?
Yes, especially if you decorate them! All we ask is that all stroller runners keep to the back of the crowd and be aware of passing runners.
+ Can I run with my dog?
Unfortunately, the pups will have to stay off the course for this one.
+ I can’t make the race. Can I get a refund?
All race registrations are non-refundable, but you can transfer to someone else via Eventbrite.
+ How do I volunteer?

+ How can I get my company involved as a sponsor?
Check out the Sponsors tab and submit an application! Local sponsors are a huge help in making these events happen and are a great way to reach more people in your community.
